Photographer: James Mollison

Wow! What intense, honest, painterly pictures. Check out the Guardian Newspaper story on radio presenters to see some more of James Mollison's portraits.

I was thinking that I should stop posting so many links on my blog, and concentrate instead on just my own work. But that went out the window when I saw these pictures. Once again: wow!

A little search engine investigating revealed Mr.Mollison's group portraits of music fans dressed in their best clobber. Also not bad at all. Talented bloke is this Mollison.

7am

Sometimes I work for this cool dude named Shawn Taylor. Which means that sometimes I have to get up pretty durn early to be in his studio by 7am. But it's OK because sometimes it means I get to see things like this.

Real photographers shoot in their socks.

Last week I assisted the very talented Genevieve Marie Blais on her Dia De Los Muertos shoot. She paid me in cake.

Ka-Kaw!

I packed my bag and hitch-hiked 25 miles up the road to see the Eagles. Don't tell my Mum.

Vancouverites in the Snow

I noticed that the falling snow inspires people to wrap themselves up in all sorts of interesting ways. So I stood on a street corner in Vancouver and asked the question "Can I take your picture?".

Surprisingly the answer was a resounding yes. Here is a short collection from that snowy afternoon.
