When I tell people that I'm a photographer they sometimes say 'Oh, like a Paparazzi right?'.
On the guardian website I found this nice gallery about pioneering Paparazzo Ron Gallela whose photographs from the 50s are seen as a great document of historical Hollywood. I think that it's clear from the expressions of his subjects' faces how they felt about him.
